Editorial policy
The rules behind every price, limit and news item on AI Plan Tracker.
Sources
Data and news come from vendors' official channels: pricing and help pages, official blogs, changelogs, release notes, GitHub releases and status pages. Third-party reporting can prompt a check, but it is never published as the source of a fact. When a vendor page blocks automated access, we use what the vendor publishes in its official feeds and don't try to get around the block.
What makes the news feed
- In: launches, new models, pricing and plan changes, usage-limit changes, notable features, and major incidents (multi-hour or widespread outages).
- Out: customer stories, hiring and event posts, webinars, listicles, minor patch notes and short blips on status pages.
- A run of small point releases is rolled up into one item that links to the latest release.
How items are written
Each item has a short title and one factual sentence written in our own words. It says only what the source says, keeps the numbers the vendor gives, and leaves out superlatives and predictions. Every item links to the vendor's original post. Dates and times are Pacific Time (America/Los_Angeles). An outage's length is given only when the status page states it.
News vs. verified changes
A pricing story in the news feed is what the vendor announced. The tracked plan data and the change log change only after the vendor's pricing page has been checked, so the two can differ for a while. Only verified changes trigger alerts.
Independence
Nobody can pay to be included, to rank higher or to have news left out. The sponsor slot is labelled and kept apart from the data. See how the site is funded.
Corrections
Send corrections to aiplantracker@mail.grokbot.com. A wrong news item is fixed or removed. A wrong price or limit is fixed in the data, and the correction is logged with its date.
